For those who have been following me for some time, you know that I set myself the goal of earning €500 per month by the end of the year thanks to the internet. To do this, I have defined several levers to be activated and one of them is the establishment of monetized niche sites using Amazon affiliation . As you guessed, this is what will be discussed in the next few paragraphs. This article takes part in the interblogger event “Tips and plan for success on the Internet” organized by Nathanael from the Business24 blog, a blog on which I invite you to make a short passage.

This list is far from exhaustive, but allows you to see at a glance the main monetization solutions available to you if you decide to get into the internet business.
Amazon is not the only existing affiliate platform, far from it. But it has certain advantages.
First and not least, Amazon sells a lot of different products: computers, books, films, music, childcare accessories, video games, jewelry, clothes,… Almost everything can be bought on this platform. And so you can offer all these affiliate products on your site . It gives you an idea, doesn’t it? And maybe even a little vertigo 🙂 .
The good news doesn’t end there. Amazon also offers products from third-party sellers. Know that you will also be paid on these sales of third-party products, even if Amazon directly offers the purchased product.
Amazon is one of the giants of the web and the largest merchant of products on the internet. It is accessible everywhere and in almost all countries. In addition to the French version, the Amazon affiliate program is also accessible on the other language versions of the site . Virtually, it will therefore be possible for you to develop your first French-speaking niche site in other countries… If a niche works in France, there is no reason why it should not work abroad. Interesting, right?
The creation of links is very simple. Go to the page of the product you want to offer or to any other page of the site. It is then possible for you in a few clicks to generate the corresponding affiliate link , which you will only have to insert into your own site. You can also create widgets listing the products of your choice. Of course, this can then be configured in terms of color in order to be able to integrate perfectly into your site. It is even possible to create an Amazon mini-store accessible from your blog or similar.
To insert these links, nothing very complicated. Simply copy/paste the code generated by Amazon at the location of your choice on your pages. Note that there are also plugins to optimize the integration of Amazon and its sales rate. This is for example the case of the Prosiate tool which I heard about through Kevin from the excellent site Deviens-Un-Pirate.com. I’m not currently using the latter, but I’m still listening back to this one.
To top it off, the American giant also offers a significant number of indicators and reports . It is thus possible for everyone to easily follow the number of clicks to Amazon generated from their site, the number of orders placed, the resulting earnings and the commission rate for each sale. If you have several sites operating in Amazon affiliation, you can have all these indicators per site and of course in an aggregated way.
Of course, not everything is so simple and some drawbacks remain.
First of all, if your niche site promotes a service, Amazon Affiliate is not for you. You will then have to turn to other affiliate platforms.
Second point, the commissions are low. Count between 3.5% and 8% gain depending on the products purchased . Suffice to say that unless you make a lot of volume, earning several thousand euros per month with a single site will be mission impossible. But in the context of a small additional income, it is a track that can be interesting. Especially since nothing prevents you from launching several sites with this approach or promoting several products.
