What is a stock broker?

Apart from the trader, the broker is a main player in the stock market. In reality, it is a broker that connects you to the stock market. Currently, it is usually in the form of downloadable software or accessible online. However, there are also banking intermediaries who can help you trade. Concretely: what is it for? Is its existence necessary to carry out transactions on the stock exchange?

Already, know that the stock market broker helps you to acquire financial products. It can be an action, a commodity, a title, a bond or even a currency. To achieve this, it generally offers you two options:

The former is the best broker if you are still a beginner in the field of trading, because it allows you to simulate buy and sell orders, without actually betting your capital. As for the second, it is addressed to all traders who wish to invest their money in the stock market.

The broker is therefore the one who manages your trading account. He carries out all the operations in your name and on your behalf. In return, it charges you a commission, the cost of which depends on one platform to another.

Currently, there are two kinds of stock brokers. The first is the No Dealing Desk broker, which provides you with the products available on the stock market, without taking requotes. While the second like the Broker Market Market or Dealing Desk offers you a quotation outside the real prices on the stock market.

In any case, the activities of the broker must be supervised by a regulatory authority. In France, it is the authority of the financial markets which takes care of it. In other countries, such as England, the broker is under the authority of the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority).
