A short post today, simply to indicate that I have reached a new goal: to obtain 100 unique unique visitors in the same day. If the figure is probably hardly impressive for the most seasoned bloggers, it is for me a great pride. But let’s go back a few months earlier…
It was already last January. Charged with resolution and full of desire, I embark on an exercise aimed at better managing my personal finances. To do this, I set myself several objectives for the year 2014. To be sure of achieving them and to maintain my motivation intact throughout the year, I launched my blog in parallel, with the idea of regularly share my progress in achieving the objectives.
So to speak, I did not know at that time not much in the world of the blog. But I set myself a goal on the subject: to reach 100 unique visits over a week . At the time, I found this figure very high and I didn’t really know how I could reach it. A few months later, this weekly target was reached. Looking back, it’s clear that target was way too low, and the number now makes me smile.
Still, I therefore revised all this upwards, hoping then to reach 100 visits per day ! Again, the figure seemed colossal to me, since it was a question of doing 7 times better than my previous target. And so it was a few months later, without any particular SEO strategy, that I reached this new goal.
It was on October 7 that I passed the milestone of 100 visitors. 102 to be precise, and the exploit has been replicated a few times since. And I have also regularly approached it since. The number of visitors has been growing slowly but surely since last school year, so I’m really happy with the way things are going.
Even if it’s probably classic in this kind of situation, and even if I’m not used to it, I take advantage of this post to thank you. Yes, you, on the other side of the screen. Thank you for visiting the site during your pilgrimages on the internet. Thank you for following me so regularly for some. Thank you to everyone who leaves a message, either by email or by comment.
