Earn €1,000 in bonuses, assessment after 3 months

Thing promised, thing due ! I mentioned in my first quarterly review of the year that you will be entitled to an article dedicated to my annual objective n°3, Earn €1,000 in bonuses of all kinds before December 31, 2014. That’s what we’re going to shared together in this post. In 2013, I managed to achieve the tidy sum of €1,300 net of tax gains through this, so I set myself a similar goal for the current year. Now let’s see how far we’ve come after 3 months.

Note that I take into account the date of receipt of funds on one of my bank accounts, in the broad sense, to record my premiums. Concretely, I count premiums if and only if they have been paid into one of my accounts: current accounts, passbooks, life insurance, etc. A cashback bonus still available on iGraal or other is not counted. A referral in progress will only be counted when the corresponding bonus appears on the relevant account. But enough talk, let’s get to the numbers!

Earn €1,000 in bonuses, assessment after 3 months

Here, the figure is announced. This first quarter allowed me to generate more than €700 in bonuses without too much effort, exactly €710.93. I am clearly very satisfied with this result, especially since this gain is net of tax and landed 100% in my pocket! Enough to create a little nest egg that I can use for different projects that I have in mind, all without impacting my daily finances.

What levers did I pull to get this amount? Finally, nothing new, as we will see: mainly, I put into practice the advice that I proposed in a previous post on online betting and I took advantage of the referral system as soon as an opportunity presented itself. . By pooling these actions with the optimization I recently did on my car insurance, an additional €50 also made the trip to my bank account. The last few euros came to me through cashback, which I will probably discuss in a future blog post.

I have categorized these money inflows according to 2 axes, namely by domain and by type. Rather than explaining for long paragraphs what I mean by domain and by type, let’s go directly to the classification I made, which I think will allow you to better understand the thing.

Categorizing by domain, the breakdown is as follows:

Which gives visually:

By categorizing these same figures by type, we then have:

A graph to illustrate this distribution:

Starting from such bases, we could conclude that reaching €1,000 over the year as envisaged in my 2014 objectives will be easy, right? Well, that’s not entirely false, but the offers allowing to obtain these bonuses being by definition very volatile and punctual, I do not prefer to revise this objective upwards. The next assessment, surely before the summer, will allow us to see things more clearly. As a good self-respecting bounty hunter, I still have some ideas to go beyond the 700€ already acquired..

Have you ever indulged in bounty hunting? What do you think of this practice? Do you have any great tips like this to share?
