Blog Statistics – Reporting #1

Here we are. The time for the first assessment to share the statistics of the blog has arrived. At the beginning of January 2014, new to blogging, I set myself the goal of reaching 100 weekly visits by the end of the year for my site. Water has since flowed under the bridges, now is the opportunity to talk with you about this past first quarter.

My figures are far from competing with those of the tenors of the genre, but I’m only at my beginnings. Even if I would like them to increase faster, those are the time and the quality of the articles that I will be able to publish that will allow me to continue to improve the statistics of the blog. So, where am I in reaching the 100 weekly visits, on which I promised you a return in the article on my balance sheet after 3 months on my annual objectives to optimize my personal finances?

Short coupons, the goal is reached! It is of course a great personal satisfaction, but now I want to go further. The next objective is therefore to cross the 100 visits per day , and I give myself until the end of the year to achieve this. For 100 visits per week, the milestone was crossed for the first time in the first week of March, before falling again the following week. It was then reached again the last 2 weeks of March, as shown in the graph below.

Concretely, I oscillate for 2 weeks between 20 and 30 daily visits. The curve is on the rise, as long as it lasts! Since the beginning, the average visit duration has been 3 minutes 32 seconds, for a bounce rate slightly above 55% and 2.44 pages read on average. Only for the month of March, the figures are similar: 3 minutes and 24 seconds, a bounce rate of 56% and 2.45 pages per visit. The numbers are encouraging.

Optimizing My Finances is also over these 3 months:

Having changed the nomenclature of the links of my pages, I cannot tell you without effort which are the most consulted pages since January. So here are simply the most read articles on the month of March, in order:

Since the opening, I made some changes and additions, with the aim of facilitating readability and navigation on the blog. Some are the fruit of my personal initiative, others are the result of exchanges with other bloggers, thanks to them! Let us mention in particular:

I certainly forget many of the changes made since the opening, since there was nothing in place 3 months ago. Too bad!

I still have a few ideas in the pipeline to improve the user experience and/or SEO , but I don’t know yet if I could implement them, in particular:

Numbers aren’t everything, and as someone said a few years ago, the truth is out there 🙂 . Also this adventure is also a human adventure, which from a personal point of view, has made it possible to bring out different advantages and interests:

So much for the results of these first 3 months of blogging. A somewhat hearty sharing which I hope you did not find too indigestible. In all modesty, I sincerely hope that this blog will bring help and advice to some of you. I’ll give you an appointment for a next review in the weeks and months to come, see you soon!

What do you think of these numbers? Do you have any advice for me to improve the blog? All your comments will be studied, thank you!
