I live on my income: my typical day

Some might say that an annuitant is lucky… Others will see him as a lazy person… What is certain is that he can live perfectly on his income/annuities. And make no mistake, his days are full, whatever he does in his own way.

No matter what time he wakes up in the morning, between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., he always starts his day with a special ritual: a large glass of cold water followed by some stretching to keep in shape. A quick trip to the bathroom for the big morning errand, then he says hello to the neighborhood, at least to the people he sees when he wakes up through his window. He looks at the mailbox to check his mails.

He then goes to the kitchen, he prepares a good breakfast and at the meeting, the choice is given to him: fried eggs, bacon, pancake, well-filled sandwich, he eats according to his mood. He doesn’t forget his delicious glass of fresh fruit juice and the day can finally begin. Another not insignificant morning ritual, a nice hot bath, whatever the temperature outside. He is ready to start a new day without taking the lead. Moreover, nothing worries him since he is lucky enough to live off his income.

Clean, fragrant and dressed, he leaves his cozy nest for a stroll in town. Money in his pocket to be able to afford a few whims, he leaves, starts his car and hits the road. Head to the stores to see what he still misses at home. A few DIY tools, a few provisions for the days when he will have to receive guests, not to mention the pairs of shoes he saw in the men’s fashion store.

Without realizing it, it’s already almost noon, it’s lunch time. As usual, he goes to his favorite little restaurant where he tastes his favorite dish. Living on your pensions allows you to have fun from time to time! Leaving the restaurant, he bumps into friends and chats for a while, then heads back home.

In the afternoon, it’s time for a nap. But before that, he indulges in a few obligatory small chores. He starts by reading the letters to see if there are any invoices. A bit of cleaning to continue: he vacuums and dusts the furniture. He also takes a short trip on the Internet to read some gossip and check the stock market. After two short hours of sleep on the sofa, he turns on the television to watch his favorite shows.

It’s time to reheat dinner: a frozen dish that just microwaves. After a few minutes of waiting, he feasts in front of his TV and sends himself a film on the cable. Friends call her to go out to the disco. If he wants to, he goes, otherwise, he will once again be alone and enjoy good times, comfortably installed on his couch watching whatever he likes on his DVD player. No curfew, he sleeps when he wants. The advantage of living on one’s pensions is that one has no accountability to an employer!
