How I earned €1300 net of tax

In a previous post, where I mentioned my financial goals for the current year, I indicated that I had won the tidy sum of €1,300 in 2013 , simply through some good tips that I will resume here. At a time when economy could be the key word, I will come back here to this subject in more detail.

This more than a thousand euros was acquired solely through the opening of online bank accounts, all free, and associated bonuses to attract the customer. I took the opportunity to discover online banking, and so far, I’m not disappointed. I will probably do a review at the end of 2014 of the use of these.

How I earned €1300 net of tax

I opened current accounts in 3 banks, all for 0 € (except the payment of a few hundred euros, to validate the opening of the account, which are recoverable as soon as it is opened, by simple payment). The elect are:

A brief overview of the bonuses, from the least generous to the most generous

HelloBank is a very recent online bank, and corresponds to the offer of the BNP Paribas group. I must say that I was not very motivated to take the step, the first feedback on the internet being rather negative on the responsiveness of this newcomer. And then appeared an offer proposing a bonus of 80€ for any opening of an account , which really helped me to decide, especially since it could be combined with the iGraal cashback offer which then paid 30€ : ).

And as I am married, I strongly urged Madame to do the same, it would be a shame not to take advantage of this free money !

Balance of the operation: 140€. If I have received the casback associated with the opening of Madame’s account, I have not yet received the associated €80… In view of my last exchanges with customer service, it should not take long.

For Fortuneo , it was not about account opening bonuses, although such an offer exists, but about a referral system. Unfortunately, it is not possible to combine the 2 offers, and depending on the period, it may be preferable to take advantage of one or the other. For my part, I went through the sponsorship offer , and I found a sponsor proposing to pay me a significant part of his sponsor bonus, in addition to my godson bonus.

Balance of the operation: 170€.

For Bousorama , the approach is initially similar to that of Fortuneo . Except that it is then possible to sponsor your family, including your children, and this quickly increases the counter! For my part, the opening of a first account, supplemented by the sponsorship of the rest of the family, made it possible to recover 560€!

I then wanted to share the windfall with some friends and acquaintances, so I sponsored them, which added €330 to my pot.

And finally, my children did not have until then A booklets in their name. Boursorama offers €50 for any opening of a booklet A for your minor children. Neither one nor two, and even if the rate of the booklet A is anything but interesting (and that should not work out ..), I jump at the chance. €100 is then added to the Boursorama kitty!

Balance of the operation: 990€.

And that’s how I received €1,300 net of tax in 2013, all without any risk. They are distributed as follows in terms of “suppliers”:

I think it will be difficult to repeat such a performance in 2014, but I have nevertheless set myself an ambitious objective since I wish to reach €1,000 in earnings for this new year, as I indicated in the post My goals for 2014.
